Valiant Mumbai fall short by six runs (Mumbai Indians Full Innings Highlights - IPL Match 8th)

Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper Harbhajan Singh and young left-hander Abhishek Nayar brought their side to within shouting distance of the huge Chennai Superkings total.

Chasing 209 for a win, Mumbai ended at 202-7, with Nayar remaining unbeaten on 45 off 20 balls, while Harbhajan contributed 28 off 14 balls.

With this win, Chennai have four points from two games while Mumbai are yet to open their account.

Earlier, Matthew Hayden and Suresh Raina were involved in a 104-run third wicket partnership, which helped Super Kings score 208-5.

Hayden scored an attacking 81 while Raina contributed 53 runs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni chipped in with a quickfire 30 as the hapless Mumbai bowlers were taken to task by all the Chennai batsmen.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians went into their second Indian Premier League match, again with their iconic player and captain Sachin Tendulkar, still out of action with a groin injury. Mumbai stand-in skipper Harbhajan Singh won the toss and elected to field on the placid MA Chidambaram Stadium pitch here.

The Chennai team went in with the same XI that had beaten Kings XI Punjab by 33 runs in their first game.
